3. Bamboo Art Installation by Rashmi Gore ART n EASEL
At Notting Hill Neighbourhood House Children’s park – supported by the @monashcouncil.
The beautiful pieces at the Bamboo Art Installation in our new Westerfiled playground were designed by the lovely community member Rashmi Gore from Art n Easel. Rashmi designed these stunning pieces to add aesthetic beauty and cultural richness to the playground whilst maintaining a fun and playful element. There are bright bold colours with abstractions of Australian native plants and animals within the pattern design. You can see gum tree nuts, leaves and lots of animal prints (kangaroos paws, possums paws, koalas paws etc). Abstractions of the Aboriginal rain, moon and star symbols have also been used to incorporate indigenous culture and a connection to nature. With the support of the Notting Hill Neighbourhood House team, This project was planned to have the community’s participation in painting two poles out of the five.
P.S – This Park also won the best park design award under the 5M $ budget for 2023. The Bamboo Art Installation project by Rashmi Gore. Glimpses of the final lap to completion
